Senior Pastor
Shamus has been with Highland Baptist Church in various capacities since May of 2007, and has served as Senior Pastor since March 2011. Shamus and his wife, Danalinn, are originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where Shamus earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Alabama in Management. He and his family moved to Kentucky in 2006 to pursue a Masters of Divinity in Worship from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, which, Lord-Willing, he should complete in May 2011. Shamus' central passion is proclaiming "the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light." (1 Peter 2:9) His hobbies include running, golf, and just about anything electronic.
